Rosie’s Womanifesto: This Is Me.

I am connected to all women, but we are all different, and this is me.
I was born for a purpose.
A purpose only known by me, but not yet released to me.
I will find that purpose, I will make a difference, and I will make my way through life.
I will never be controlled.

I love the color orange everyday except the days I love the color blue.
I want change when I am restless and routine when I am overwhelmed.
I love my family, friends, and especially the youth.
I love photography of nature and animals.

I have climbed a fourteen footer in Colorado and wrassled with barbed wire.
I will become what I want to be and strive to be the best I can be.
I have been on crutches which led to a wheelchair and I have only broken one bone.
I have made my parents proud and I have made them want to pull out their hair.

My favorite meal is steak and mashed potatoes.
But I want goldfish to be a vegetable.
My emotions change on an hourly basis.
I have a caring nature and seek the goodness in others.

My journey has just begun and it has already proven to be difficult.
I will complete my journey with some helping hands along the way, but mostly on my own.
I will not be taken for granted and I will go the extra mile.
When I am determined and ambitious enough I can do anything.

I own my body.
I own my voice.
I own my actions.

I am 18 going on 19 and this is who I am.
I am athletic.
I am loving.
I am powerful.
I am brilliant.
I am passionate.
I am brave.

My life is important to me no matter what happens.
I have made it this far through my journey and no one can take away from me my emotions, my voice, my anger, my actions, my desires, my characteristics, my wishes, or my body.

This is me. I am a woman.
