The Womanifesto of the Righteous S/He Human Being

When you purposely use the wrong pronouns when speaking to or about someone, that's action.

Start a community garden. Shop at your local Co-Op grocery.

When you treat a homeless person to ice cream, instead of just handing them a five dollar bill; and asking them about their life, that's action.

Go camping or mountain hiking to realize how immense, boundless and beautiful Mother Earth is.

When you Queer question your own race, lifestyle, and sexuality, that's action.

Listen to the music and lyrics of Ani DiFranco, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, and other positive, progressive artists. Support local artists.

When you boycott McDonald's, WalMart, Coca Cola products, fashion magazines, and other mass media products, because they are run by white patriarchic corporations; that's action.

Learn a second, third, fourth, fifth, …... language.

When you confront a homophobic person about their homophobia, that's action.

Ride a bike, or walk whenever possible.

When you lobby at your local school board to require high school kids to read Inga Muscio's Cunt , and Audre Lorde's poetry, that's action.

Teach a little kid in your neighborhood how to hike, fish, play hop-scotch, and ride a bike.

When you actually stop and smell the flowers, then knock on that person's door and tell them how much you appreciate their beautiful flowers, that's action.

Learn about the history and culture of the Native American tribe(s) from your area, and then find out what their current history and culture is.

Remind yourself that the most important things in life like freedom, creativity, relationships, the dynamic human spirit, and love, are found in the search for truth.

Create Positive Social Change. Take Action.
