Next year, if anyone gets in my face about keeping Christ in Christmas, I’m going to tell them I have no beef with Christ (which I don’t) and ask them to show the same passion and fervor for keeping the fertility goddess Eostre in Easter.
Easter has always been my favorite holiday and it does peeve me that earlier Christians hijacked it and made it about the resurrection. They copped the lily, the egg and the bunny. Who is low enough to steal bunnies from the goddess that loves them? I’ll tell you who: early Christians.
